- ✓Turn your thermostat to a lower setting to pre-cool your home
- ✓Set your thermostat to 'Fan Only' or turn the system OFF as the storm approaches
- ✓Turn off the AC breaker at your electrical panel before the storm hits
- ✓Document your system's condition with photos

- ✓Wait at least 30 minutes after power is restored before turning AC on
- ✓Visually inspect the outdoor unit for visible damage or debris
